Download Meriz

The desktop version has the same features as the online editor and can work offline. Your files stay on your computer in .meriz.jsonformat, readable by both versions.

Open online, no installation

For your operating system

Each button downloads its file directly. Links follow the latest published release and update automatically.

Windows macOS Linux
Windows

Installer .exe, the usual choice.

Download for Windows

For classroom deployments, an .msi package is also available.

macOS

Disk image .dmg. Choose Apple Silicon for M1 and later Macs, or Intel for older Intel-based models.

Check the Apple menu’s About This Mac window to identify your chip.

Linux

.AppImage runs directly, without installation.

Download for Linux

Or use .deb packages for Debian and Ubuntu, or .rpm packages for Fedora and openSUSE.

All files, including older versions, are available on the releases page.

Good to know
01

First launch

The application does not have a verified Windows or Apple publisher identity. Windows and macOS may display a warning at first launch. Check that you downloaded it from the official Meriz release page before continuing.

02

The same file everywhere

A model saved in the desktop version opens in the browser, and vice versa. You can move freely between both versions.

03

Updates

From version 1.1.0 onwards, Meriz installs updates at startup. If you use a 1.0.x version, install the latest version once to enable this. Your files are kept.

04

Source code

Meriz is free software under the AGPL 3.0 licence. You can read its source, build it yourself and contribute improvements.
